Mass Spectrometry Imaging Zoom Seminar
Advanced multimodal nano-analytical capabilities on FIB instruments using SIMS: new developments, applications and prospects
Speaker: Dr. Tom Wirtz, from the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), Luxembourg
The monthly Mass Spectrometry Imaging Zoom seminar in Gothenburg, organised by the NanoSIMS Sweden. This webinar series is aimed at introducing mass spectrometry imaging methods to potential users in various research fields and to initiate potential collaborations within and outside the University of Gothenburg. Dr. Tom WIRTZ is Head of Unit “Scientific Instrumentation and Process Technology (SIPT)” at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). He is author and co-author of 160 articles in international journals and 13 patents. Tom’s scientific interest is nano-analytics combining high-lateral resolution and high-sensitivity chemical analysis using correlative approaches, examples being the in-situ combination of secondary ion mass spectrometry with FIB instruments, helium ion microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and scanning probe microscopy.
Date and Time : Wednesday, the 25th of March, 15:00-16:00 (CET time)
